Fairfield-School of Law Achieves Global Recognition @ the 17th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, Geneva
New Delhi, India – May 5, 2025 – Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology (FIMT), affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) reaffirm its status as a leading law college, one's again.
FIMT-School of Law is proud to announce that Darshit Mudgil and Yash Vats, its final-year law students, have qualified for the Global Rounds of the prestigious 17th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition. This esteemed competition, organized by the University of Pretoria’s Centre for Human Rights and the United Nations Office at Geneva, serves as a premier platform for students to engage in human rights advocacy and legal discourse.
The participation of Darshit and Yash in this esteemed competition not only highlights their individual capabilities but also reflects the high standards of legal education and training at FIMT. The institution continues to empower its students to excel on national and international platforms .
Darshit and Yash, currently in the final semester of the BA LLB program, are active members of FIMT’s Moot Court Society: Justice Prevails. Their exceptional performance in the Memorial Rounds, under the mentorship of Ms. Ria Das, a distinguished alumna of FIMT , currently an advocate at the Delhi High Court and Youth Advisor to the United Nations, has earned them a spot among the top 50 teams worldwide and the top 13 in Asia.
The Global Rounds are scheduled to take place virtually from May 6 to 12, 2025, with the final in-person rounds to be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, in July 2025.
This achievement underscores FIMT’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and global advocacy skills among its students.
